In the past, there was no appropriate impelier for skinny vessel such as Liquid Height./ Tank Diameter (L/T)>2.0 TORNADO, a unique mixing reactor developed by SHI Mechanical and Equipment Inc., is applicable to skinny vessel (L/T>2.0). Tornado's superior mixing characteristics comparison with conventional technology can be obtained by its progressive mixing mechanism such as downward along the wall and upward along the shaft. Experimental studies show TORNADO has good mixing performance, such as a short mixing time, a higher heat transfer coefficient etc. Finally, reporting the commercial application in Alkoxylation with ethylene oxide, necessary operation time of TORNADO is 1/5 that of conventional multi stage turbine.
